2006 - Christmas arrives early this year!
On November 25, to be exact - after several weeks of heavy rain and strong winds, the notorious 'Pineapple Express' arrived from across the Pacific Ocean and dumped a load of snow on us which lasted for almost a week!
We are thankfully now back to normal December conditions and able to finish Christmas shopping, visit friends and do the rest of those typical seasonal activities. Once more, another year seems to have simply flown by and it's time to greet our relatives and friends around the world. It has been a busy time for us but in a manner somewhat different from last year. Bruce's involvement in the local business investment community has grown considerably and Patricia seems to have a non stop social calendar. Who says retirement is boring?

Jaguar XK 150 departs for New Zealand

In June, Bruce's 1957 XK 150 Coupe set off on the long journey to New Zealand, having been purchased by a fellow Jaguar afficianado who will complete the full restoration process. This is one project that Bruce decided not to take on himself. However, on a forthcoming planned cruise to Auckland in the fall of 2007, we hope to visit not only our many relatives there, but also the new owner who lives in Christchurch and see what will likely have been a wonderful restoration.

We are lucky to have terrific neighbors and one shipped a crate of fresh crawfish up from Louisiana and put on a fine summer picnic for us all. Here, Bruce is toasting our host for providing such a great repast!
In August, we held our second annual Sudden Valley Jaguar Softball Picnic with visitors from Vancouver and Seattle. It was warm and sunny and the beer was cold so everyone had fun!

We were delighted to have Bill and Margaret come to visit us this September from England. We have known them for over forty years and they kindly hosted us last year at the Royal Air Force Officers Club in London
Bill and Margaret at the Columbia River Gorge
This year it was our turn to show some hospitality and we visited many interesting places in the Pacific Northwest, including the beautiful Cascade Loop. We were fortunate enough to have great weather and quickly revived our friendship from days gone by.

We will spend Christmas Day with Andrew, Leona and Kyle at their home again . Kyle is growing so fast, it's amazing. This winter he is back to hockey, football and swimming. We are all fit and enjoying our various pursuits. We wish you the best of season's greetings and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Love and best wishes,

Patricia and Bruce
