2007 - A quiete year!

This year we have done considerably less traveling, but played more golf and generally spent more time around Sudden Valley. Our small apple orchard has prospered and now the fall colors are in full bloom and look beautiful. Several projects around the house have been completed and we both continue to be busy with our community interests.Bruce's involvement in the local business investment community has continued as well as his work with the Whatcom Museum of History and Art. Patricia walks about five or six miles every morning with her friends and still seems to have a non stop social calendar.

Patricia celebrates her 'not to be mentioned' Birthday!

In June, Patricia had a special birthday celebration at the Sudden Valley Clubhouse and subsequently an 'afterglow' at the house. Surprise guests were her sister Jean with brother in law Ivan who came over from England for the event. Joined by almost fifty friends, we all gave her resounding congratulations and a great time was had by all. Of course it is a lady's prerogative not to disclose her age, but let's just say that Bruce will not be far behind as of this December!

European Car Day at the Market Depot: Downtown Bellingham, WA on July 29, 2007saw the first all European Classic Car Show. There were over seventy European cars in this beautiful, recently renovated building.
Local residents, used to seeing the Depot as a Farmer's Market, were very pleasantly surprised. I'm also proud to report that our E-type received the 'Best of British' award!

Promptly on December 1 we had our first winter snowfall. Happily rain followed quickly and washed it away! Nonetheless it motivated us to plan a trip to Hawaii soon after the New Year, followed shortly after by visits to friends in Palm Springs and Seal Beach in California

We will spend Christmas Day with Andrew, Leona and Kyle at their home again . Kyle is progressing well at school and in sports. This winter he is back to hockey, football and soccer. We are all fit and enjoying our various pursuits. We wish you the best of season's greetings and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Love and best wishes,

Patricia and Bruce
