We celebrated our fortieth wedding anniversary at a beautiful new hotel on Bellingham Bay with about fifty of our friends from various parts of the Pacific Northwest.

Construction of the Hotel Bellwether has only recently been completed and it turned out to be an excellent location for our 'Celebration Reception'.

Even the rainy weather, so reminiscent of the actual wedding day in Ramsgate, Kent on March 18, 1961 did not detract from the warmth of sharing this occasion with so many good friends from both Canada and the USA.

As you can imagine, there was a healthy inclusion of ex-patriate Brits in attendance, but everyone mingled and apparently enjoyed the afternoon together. Patricia and I certainly did; our only regret being that it was a little too far for our friends in the UK to join us, particularly our 'Best Man', David Williams and his charming wife Molly. We hope they will make it over some other time soon.
